Georgian international midfielder Jaba Kankava has signed for Reims for three seasons with an option for a fourth from Ukrainian first division side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, the French Ligue 1 club confirmed. Germany's Augsburg confirmed they had sold Ghana international defender Abdul Rahman Baba to Premier League Chelsea for a reported fee of 19.8 million euros (£14 million, $21.9m). The 21-year-old cost just 2.5 million euros ($2.7m) when he joined Augsburg last year from German second-division club Greuther Fuerth, who are set to get a 25 percent share of the sale.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new five-year deal with the Spanish giants, the club confirmed. Ramos had been courted by Manchester United during a standoff in negotiations between his representatives and Madrid president Florentino Perez over the Spanish international's salary with his previous deal set to expire in 2017.

Swedish international defender Oscar Wendt has extended his contract with Borussia Moenchengladbach until 2018, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.

Portuguese giants Benfica are demanding €7.5 million ($8.3m) compensation from former coach Jorge Jesus who joined bitter rivals Sporting Lisbon last June, a club official told Portguese daily Expresso on Monday. Jorge Jesus "unilaterally terminated the contract that bound him to the club and must pay the required compensation," club spokesman Joao Gabriel said.
