Gazelec Ajaccio coach Thierry Laurey suffered "non life-threatening" injuries in a motorbike crash, the French Ligue 1 side's president told AFP. "He had a motorbike accident. His life is not in danger," said club president Olivier Miniconi. "He suffered bruising to his chest and a cracked rib, but no real fracture.
It could have been much more serious," added sporting director Christophe Ettori, confirming that Laurey had left hospital and was at home resting. Gazelec, who are 18th in the table, visit Lorient in the season's final round of matches on Saturday and must better Toulouse's result at Angers to avoid an immediate return to the second division.
