Football - Capel pens two-year Genoa deal

Spanish international striker Diego Capel has signed for Italian Serie A club Genoa from Sporting Lisbon on a two-year deal with an option for a further two, the Portuguese club announced on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Capel joined on a deal worth in the region of €1.3 million, the club said, adding that they would retain "50 percent of the player's rights".

Capel arrived in Sporting in 2011 after spending seven years in Sevilla.
